ASSOCIATE GRAPHIC DESIGNER

OPEN Health is looking for a qualified Associate Graphic Designer to join its growing team! We are a group of talented publication and medical communication professionals that strive to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients. The Creative Services department includes Copy Writers, Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Multimedia Directors, Web Designers, Interactive Programmers, and Instructional Designers.

Candidates who apply should attach a copy of their resume and portfolio examples of relevant PowerPoint presentations, figures/tables, scientific posters, collateral print materials & layout design, and/or creative concepts. Scientific poster experience is mandatory.

As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:

  • Design and develop layouts for scientific posters using Adobe CC software
  • Review and graphically enhance Microsoft PowerPoint medical/scientific presentations including slide formatting & creation of new PowerPoint charts/tables/figures
  • Accurately and consistently create graphs, tables, and figures for scientific publications based on publication specifications using Adobe CC software
  • Assure all work meets corporate brand standards and quality assurance guidelines
  • Research, concept, and mock-up visual design assignments as needed for new business and pitch presentations
  • Develop a variety of creative and scientific graphics, concepts, and visual-related assets in a fast-paced, timeline-driven work environment
  • Comply with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain consistent attendance and coordinate coverage when out of office
  • Professional, timely response to all internal and external communications
  • Maintain timely completion of time sheets
  • Participate in internal status meetings, as needed
  • Exhibit ability to take on additional tasks as needed while maintaining consistent performance
  • Participate in internal skills development courses as requested by manager
  • Manage occasional increase in workload/volume across multiple clients and accounts while ensuring quality and accuracy

What you’ll bring:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or other related fields
  • 2-3 years of medical advertising/medical communications/publications agency and/or pharmaceutical graphics department experience

 

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to handle high levels of account activity
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team structure
  • Expertise in PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Significant working knowledge and experience in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to learn new creative software and utilize additional software functions
  • Being “on trend” with design elements through personal research
  • Strong organization and project management capabilities

 

Position is remote based with onsite visits to Parsippany, NJ and clients based upon business needs. Business hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday; or as required based on timelines.
