Account Director

Account Directors are responsible for managing client accounts by delivering superior customer service, providing strong leadership/guidance, directing strategic publication planning services, and partnering with Senior Management in new business activities. Account Directors are the key contact for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally proactive and responsive, adept at publication planning, comfortable with assessing scientific content, highly capable in leading teams, and accomplished in developing and managing new business proposals. Expert knowledge and facilitation of industry guidelines is a must.
 
What you’ll bring:
  • BA or BS in marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field (candidates with an advanced degree and/or CMPP certification preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of direct involvement with pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, publication planning, promotional medical education, business development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, or senior management and account responsibility in a medical communications or marketing services company
  • Proven business development results
  • Experience developing and establishing new products and service offerings
  • Highly successful relationship initiator and builder with a resilient personality that capitalizes on every opportunity presented
  • Experience in publication and or medical communications management
  • Ability to work both independently (on-site and remotely) and in a team structure
  • High comfort level working with clients and faculty
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing challenges, issues, and priorities with the ability to delegate, problem-solve, and set clear expectations
  • Proficiency in Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Datavision experience required; EndNote experience is a plus!
  
Working conditions
  • This position will be performed remotely or in a corporate business setting as required
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday; or as required by business needs
  • Travel: Domestic and international ~20%
