Description
The PowerPoint Specialist provides internal teams with creative support as it relates to medical publications and marketing communication projects and deliverables, specifically, PowerPoint slide presentations, figures, and various graphics/images for medical communication and internal project initiatives. This individual works closely with the Vice President, Creative Services, creative, medical, account, and editorial teams to ensure work is on-target, creative, and provides accurate and engaging visuals. 

Duties and responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Review and graphically enhance Microsoft PowerPoint medical/scientific presentations
• Accurately and consistently create graphs, tables, and figures for scientific publications based on publication specifications
• Assure all work meets corporate brand standards and quality assurance guidelines
• Research, concept, and mock-up visual design assignments as needed for new business and pitch presentations
• Develop a variety of creative and scientific graphics, concepts, and visual-related assets in a fast-paced, timeline-driven work environment
• Comply with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintain consistent attendance and coordinate coverage when out of office
• Professional, timely response to all internal and external communications
• Maintain timely completion of time sheets
• Participate in internal status meetings, as needed
• Exhibit ability to take on additional tasks as needed while maintaining consistent performance
• Participation in internal skills development courses as requested by manager
• Manage occasional increase in workload/volume across multiple clients and accounts while ensuring quality and accuracy

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or other related fields
• 2 years of medical advertising/medical communications/publications agency and/or pharmaceutical graphics department experience
• Expert level knowledge in PowerPoint including use of master templates, color themes, animations, transitions, hyperlinking, actions, and/or video
• Expert level knowledge of figure creation within PowerPoint, including knowledge of scatter graphs, forest plots, custom error bars, etc.
• Expert level knowledge and experience in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong organization and project management capabilities
• Ability to work both independently and in a team structure
• Keen attention to detail
• Open to receive direction/feedback
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite programs including Adobe Muse, Animate,  InDesign, Illustrator, web design, and HTML5 a plus
• Strong presentation design portfolio

Working conditions

This position will be in a corporate business setting
Office is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of office building. Elevator is in good working condition but can be inoperable during times of repair or power outages
Position is located in Parsippany, NJ
Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00pm or 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Travel: Less than 10%

Physical requirements - Ability to sit for long periods of time
