Senior Account Manager 

Senior Account Managers act as the communications director and oversee project management for one or more accounts, participate in the development, execution, and delivery of publication plans, and establish ongoing collaboration with designated account team leaders to define client commitments, expectations, and project budgets. The position also includes developing and evaluating timeline and budget parameters, which will influence the agency’s staffing, external contracting, profitability assessment, and advising/assisting Project Managers with prioritization of projects to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget performance. To achieve these goals, the Senior Account Manager must have the ability to manage multiple projects, monitor deadlines, prioritize work, evaluate the cost-effectiveness and productivity of team and individual performance, and identify, analyze, and adjust work procedures and relationships to maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Account awareness and management
  • Client services and engagement 
  • Compliance, documentation, operational, financial, and team management 
  • Research support 
  • Therapeutic area/product knowledge 

 
What you’ll bring:

  • BA or BS in marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field (candidates with an advanced degree and/or CMPP certification preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical publication planning or medical communications industries
  • Ability to work both independently (on-site and remotely) and in a team structure
  • Ability to perform all duties on-line, as OPEN Health is a paperless company 
  • Proficiency in Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Datavision experience required
  • High comfort level working with clients and faculty
  • Aptitude for the English language and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing challenges, issues, and priorities with the ability to delegate, problem-solve, and set clear expectations
  • Enthusiastic team player with self-motivated attitude and demeanor 

 
Working conditions

  • This position will be performed remotely or in a corporate business setting as required
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday; or as required by business needs
  • Travel: Domestic and international ~10%
